About

Hi! My name is Aamir Shahzad, and I am a Pakistani American traveler and YouTuber.  Background
Originally, I am from Sahiwal, and I spent my childhood and most of my young adult years in Pakistan. I graduated from Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (Karachi) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronic Engineering. From there, I obtained a student visa to travel to the U.S., where I attended New Mexico Highlands University. In 2008, I graduated from NMHU with a Master’s degree in Computer Science. I am currently working as Database Engineer.
YouTube
In 2014, I started a blog and YouTube channel called TechBrothersIT where I have created over 1500 technology tutorials which are openly accessible for viewers worldwide to learn database and computer software technologies step by step. With over sixteen million views on YouTube and over seven million views on my website, I have created a space for students and experts alike to share ideas and learn in a positive environment.
Facebook
Moreover, I have created and manage the following Facebook groups:
  • Pakistani Students in USA
  • SQL Server DBA (USA)
  • SQL Server Integration Services
  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • TechBrothersIT
  • Baba Jee Farm
Through these groups, I have reached out to numerous people seeking guidance in various fields, ranging from education to farming to SQL Server technology. My motive is to provide proper guidance through YouTube, blogging, and discussion forums, in order to reach out to others and create a positive base for communication.
Previous Trips to Pakistan In my last two visits to Pakistan (2015 and 2018), I held seminars at the following schools:
  • Dawood Engineering and Technology University (Karachi)
  • Habib University (Karachi)
  • GC University (Faisalabad - Sahiwal Campus)
  • Usman University of Technology (Karachi)
  • F. G College (Okara Cantt)
  • COMSAT University (Sahiwal)
  • ILMA University (Karachi)
  • DHA SUFFA University (Karachi)
  • NED University (Karachi)
  • F.G Boys School (Okara Cantt)
All of the information I provide is free of charge, as I do not have monetary motives. My simple goal is to mentor students in the field of technology.
My Current Mission
On this trip to Pakistan, I have undertaken a mission that I strongly believe in. My goal is to travel from Karachi to Khunjerab Pass (2300 km), on foot, to promote a positive image of my homeland. I will begin this journey in February of 2020 and complete it by the end of March 2020. The purpose of this journey is simple: to raise awareness and promote a promising image of Pakistan in the international community. Having lived nearly fourteen years abroad, I have realized that most people (including people who were born and raised in Pakistan) have a distorted image of Pakistan, that has been influenced by Western media and politics-infused headlines. Therefore, I believe that as a Pakistani it is my duty to contribute to the development of a better image of Pakistan. Over the course of this journey, I will be filming and documenting the natural beauty of Pakistan, which will in turn promote tourism by highlighting the experiences that Pakistan has to offer. Furthermore, I want to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, especially in the wake of climate change crises that have had detrimental impacts worldwide. I sincerely hope that through this walk across Pakistan, I will be able to establish a basis for encouraging both international and Pakistani people living abroad to visit Pakistan and invest in the development of our great country.
